Mission Network News
I work for this pretty awesome place called Mission Network News. How I got the job was all-God, and being here is definately a big step toward what I want my life to be about...Missions.I do a variety of things in the mix of a day and week, but all for the purpose of getting others to know about what's happening - what God is doing - in the world through missions. AND, to get people to get connected to missions, through being more informed to pray, knowing where the needs are to give financial support, and (my favorite) to know how to connect and get out there on the mission field short-term or long-term.
Among my many roles, I'm the coordinator for the online Short-term Missions Database, where right now we have posted more than 450 trips available. So if you're looking for something worthwhile to do with some extra time...check it out! :-)
Anyway, there's that little tidbit. Sometimes I wonder where I'll be in 5, 10 or 20 years, but have to remind myself that I only have to live here and now, and be faithful wherever I am and with whatever God has given me right now, and HE'll give me the light and wisdom for the next steps, whenever and wherever those may be.
Quite an adventure, really, following God...you take one step out your door and you never know where He may take you! I need to remind myself of the wonders and excitement of the adventure more often, rather than thinking of the oftentimes tediousness of the preparation and patience-learning times.
For Mission Network News, I'm FaithfulWherever, signing out. :-)
