whirlwind week
I guess you could say I've experienced a mental hurricane over the couple weeks:- Signed up for seminary
- Began seminary
- Had my apartment broken into
- Looked at a couple other houses to move into (was already in the plans, before the break-in)
- Recruited a 4th housemate
- Decided to rent a house we looked at
- Finished up a project I was working on for a partner of my church
- Teaching ESL to immigrants in GR
The hurricane is probably a category 3, but it's a long-lasting one...because in the next 3 or so weeks, it looks as though it's going to hang around some more:
- my sister's moving into her new apartment this week
- my housemates and I are moving this weekend
- next week I have a paper due for one sem class
- next weekend is my sister's bachelorette party, and also a friends' wedding reception
- the weekend after is my sister's wedding
So, that to say, I'm a bit scattered, yet I feel quite focused too. My main priority is to stay on top of my homework, and other things have seemed to fall by the wayside. But I am doing well, despite the swirling winds of change...actually, perhaps it's because of the swirling winds of change that I am doing well.
The two sudden changes of seminary and moving house have brought a whirlwind, but I have not minded or worried too much about them. It's surprising how quickly those changes came to be, but I'm not at all distraught by them. It's actually quite exciting!
So that to say, I head back into the additional whirlwind, not even mentioned yet, of my day job, that in the past 6 weeks, every other week saw one staff member on vacation or out of the country (and not myself, unfortunately...I'm saving up my off-time for something bigger!)

You thrive on change and intellectal changes. :)
Sorry to hear about your apartment getting broken in to. Was anything stolen? How's seminar going for you? Sounds like a lot of work. Even though it sounds like you have a full plate of events in front of you remember to relax and breath you'll get though it.
