a few thoughts....
thought #1 ~ two things keep popping up in my dreams lately...- football (as in, soccer)
- jungle scenes
- I've been watching and keeping up with the World Cup. The funny thing is, in my dream, the word always used is, in fact, football. My subconscious does that. Brilliant!
- I recently bought Steve Saint's book End of the Spear and it's really great...already half way through this 300+ page book and have a hard time putting it down at night.
- My mom's 52nd birthday ~ hope to take her flying in a little plane for it, if the weather cooperates
- Two years since my Grandpa Fraser died ~ will probably eat some ice cream and listen to jazz in memory
When Tuesday rolls around and US-America celebrates our Independence from Britain, I'll be celebrating my own independence (and that celebration will be far from the "land of the free, home of the brave," which, in all due respect to my country of birth, I couldn't be happier). My celebration on "The 4th of July" will consist of hopping a train, plane and bus across a couple European countries, all on my own! Happy Independence! From my observation, spontaneity sems to diminish drastically once you're married. So, I was thinking that if I was married, there's basically no way I'd be going to England and Spain next week. And so I had a moment yesterday (that continues to linger) where I was quite pleased with where I'm at in life, which made my excitement for travel that much greater and something to be highly enjoyed and relished in for the time it's given to me. For (as my housemates and I often jest) I could be married by the end of the summer, for all we know...and then life would take on a whole new look (which I know I would learn to love and enjoy as well). So I'm gonna do my best to live it up and enjoy my independence until God sees fit to give me the great gift and responsibility of marriage. So for fun and because I really like the song, here's a little ditty in honor of my independence day celebration::
Wedding Day by Rosie Thomas. (click the title to hear the mp3)
::my fav fun line::
i'm gonna stop at every bar//and flirt with the cowboys in front their girlfriends
::my fav inspiring line::
i'm gonna be carefree and let nothing pass me by//never ever again
::my fav memory with this song::
sitting on Kristin's futon and both being lost in the bittersweet heart-gripping lyrics

Hi Faith!!!
My first post on your blog from India...yay! :-) I thought this would be the fastest way to wish you happy travels and an awesome time in England, Spain, and wherever else you go! I can't wait to hear about your adventures. Who are you seeing in Spain?
I love you so so much. If you can manage to come home by way of India, that'd be great! I'm in the mood for some familiar company.
Go with God, and glorify Him greatly.
