Summer days over the pond
Planes, Trains and Automobiles! Here's a little window into what I've been doing this week...Monday: caught a bus into the Peak District for a day hike all by me lonesome, saavy. :-) It was a glorious day, much enjoyed, with good time to think and process and exert myself physically into something I love. A lot of spiritual lessons gained in the hike as well. I also had dinner at the Chesters and met with a number of others for a prayer meeting. Tuesday: caught a train, plane and bus on my way to Barcelona, Spain to visit some Mars Hill friends living there. It was a whirlwind trip, but well worth it. Encouraging and challenging time of fun, freedom, fellowship. "Welcome to the Mediterranean!" Here's a couple pics, click on them for more pics of Spain.
Wednesday: spent the morning in Barcelona, then caught a bus, plane, train and the London Underground to find my friend Kristin (and crew) where we hung out and made some memories...fun times! Here's a pic, click for more:
Thursday: caught a train back up to Sheffield, glad to be back, but very glad for my adventures. Spent the afternoon with Amer and Shazia, helped make a yummy curry dinner. Then went to Pirates of the Caribbean 2 with Anna, Wendy and Bethany...that was loads of fun!
Friday: slept in! yay! I've just been hanging around today, resting and preparing for a busy week of Summer in the City, which starts tonight. Read more about SITC at Andy's blog and The Crowded House website. It'll be a great week. Please be in prayer. Not sure if I'll have time to update this here blog, but I'll try.
