Condolences
My boss handed me a card this morning, not from him, just passing it along to me. I opened it and saw it was a sympathy card. Intrigued, thoughts flitted through my head that it was from some kind, caring MNN listener who had heard about my missionary cousins being killed in Guyana. I opened it and read...Sorry for the loss of your friend, Constantine - Love, Kristin
I cracked up, nearly busted a gut, in fact, I'm still laughing. You see, unwittingly, I had become addicted to the reality show American Idol and been faithfully watching (and voting) for my favorites. And last night, sniffle, my favorite ~ and heartthrob ~

Constantine Maroulis was somehow sent home. I don't know how it happened, and don't care to discuss it because I think the show is rigged or something (not to mention my other favorite Mario Vasquez who chose to leave the show earlier)...anyway, I've decided that I'm boycotting AI from now on. It's ridiculous and what's the point anyway now that Constantine is gone. Seriously.
Anyway, it was quite hilarious that Kristin was so thoughtful and provided me with a great laugh about something so meaningless and insignificant as a stupid tv show that had become WAY too much a part of daily conversation. haha! I sure enjoyed it though! And Constantine...sigh...and Mario...sigh......I'll miss your eyes and cheeky grins and crooner/rocker voices...it was a pleasure while it lasted.
Note to self: I make myself sick!

As we discussed ... I'm right there with you.
One big Napoleon Dynamite "Idiotsss!" on AI. And a raspberry: =P
I don't like things that bring out the junior high girl in me. And if you look at the above paragraph (if you can call it a paragraph), you can clearly see that this thing has done that.
But the condolences card was stellar. Congrats to Kristin on a superb way to make a laugh out of a pile of secret disappointment.
Well Faith. We're on to bigger and better (and deeper, let's hope!) things now. Come on. We can do it.
But first: one last "I think I love you" for the road. Thanks for the memories.
