I don't claim to be great, but my desire is to live well right where God has me today. It's been easy to deceive myself into thinking greatness is something "out there" that I define and pursue, when in reality greatness happens right here through living and loving well and looking back to see how great God has been to work through me in spite of myself.

Traveling, culture, change, communicating, being out-of-the-box - these things, though I'm passionate for them, pale in comparison to the ONE THING I desire to be about.
"Love is doing what will enthrall the beloved with the greatest and longest joy. What will enthrall the beloved this way is the glory of God. Love means doing all we can, at whatever cost to ourselves, to help people be enthralled with the glory of God. When they are, they are satisfied and God is glorified. Therefore loving people and glorifying God are one." ~ John Piper
"Faith has joy at its heart: it is being satisfied with all that God is for us in Jesus. Therefore, the 'good fight of faith' is a fight for joy." ~ John Piper (full seminar text)

Can I come?
Is this a picture you took with your own camera while walking in England?
Frame it and sell it!
Wow, it is amazing.
The hearts of friends long alike...
I've had this pic on my desktop for the past week. Ever since the fall wind started blowing and I felt the longing awake for far off countries and new adventures...
Next time we go to the Peaks, let's take that pathway...
and follow it on, and on, and on...
