music

I'm currently listening to trance music from DigitallyImported. It's a way to zone out and stay focused at the same time. After awhile, I need something else, but it is a good way to help me get my work done on a Friday afternoon. It also strangely reminds me of clubs in England (not that I went to many, mind you, but the few times I did, it was very similar kind of music).

I'm getting pretty excited about next Saturday, though. My alltime favorite musician is coming to town, a good buddy of mine from early college days, Shane Barnard, of Shane and Shane. Actually I know both Shanes. Haven't seen them in more than 2 years and wondering if they'll remember me. They're playing with the David Crowder band and Robbie Seay band too. So I'm anticipating a good time, and hope to get a chance to chat a bit more with the Shanes.

Some new music that's been playing throughout my days lately has been Emuzeki, recommended by Topher; and Sigur Ros, heard of first by the infamous stalker friend of my dear Tollers but reminded of again by Troy who blogged about it and Kristin who actually purchased a cd, and whose music I then recommended to Topher...is this confusing yet? Anyway...good stuff.

I walked into the trailer next door earlier this week (or last week maybe?) and heard Christmas music...I was stunned, but then I remembered that Topher's office was in there and wasn't so stunned anymore. Last year, I think the music started even earlier than that. Good times.

There's my music blog. I basically know nothin...but Topher has certainly added to my repertoire of music knowledge and enjoyment. Thanks! :-)

I guess it's not everyone who gets friendly neighborhood stalkers who like Icelandic music. Glad I could share the bounty to some use.
