cubicle world

I treated myself to a long-overdue holiday yesterday. Amazing what breaking the day-to-day routine will do for the soul. Wonderful how the world looks from outside the cubicle. My day consisted of things as far from cubicle work as possible:
  • slept in :-)
  • went for a run...while listening to another Piper sermon
  • mowed the lawn
  • read the Bible and journaled
  • did dishes
  • vacuumed...or hoovered, if you're in England
  • did laundry...I was quite domestic, and it was wonderful!
  • became a member of the Creston Neighborhood Association
  • went out to Grand Haven with Moriah to enjoy the beach and each other before she leaves next week...more on that in another post
  • watched The Office...more on that below
  • did some other random stuff, whatever I felt like doing.
It was a great day, much enjoyed, felt alive and free. We saw an amazing sunset...it looked (from what I know of it) like an African Sun... gorgeous...pictures don't do it justice!

It was a bit difficult to come back to cubicle world this morning, and I feel like I've been running into walls and squished into too small a space all day. [[sigh]]

In other cubicle-related news, I have been swept up into the cult of "The Office" tv show (American version). It's all Esther's fault! Jen's next to blame! And I think the lot of us pulled Moriah into it...We're all junkies, I'm afraid. On Friday's, it's guaranteed that emails will be flying about with our favorite moments and quotes of the previous evening's showing. Sad to say that next week is the season finale. But...I found way too many distracting internet links about The Office... Pam's MySpace, Angela's MySpace, Dwight's blog, fan video montages...fun times.

Unrelated to cubicles, I'm very excited for July 7th! POTC 2 comes out in cinemas. Oh lovely!

Also unrelated to any of this other stuff...my housemate just got engaged! Congrats Pam and Tim!

Good thing you specified WHICH housemate ... or Moriah--Jen--you'd both be getting a little interrogation. (Congrats, Pam!)

Hey, you know what name rhymes with Tim and ALSO sounds good with the name Pam?
