a Narnia experience
As I sat at my kitchen table the night I returned from England, I had a sudden strange feeling like I had only dreamed my visit to England. So much was packed into the time I was gone, but it seems so little out of the ordinary took place back home...like I had stepped into the wardrobe and lived a full life and returned to find only seconds had passed. How does one capture the key things of an incredible few weeks in my 'Sheffield wardrobe'? Let me attempt to do so in pictures (glad I have them, or I might not believe it actually happened):
Good conversations...
jazz cafes
outreach team to internationals
Seeing needs...
Sharrow mosque construction
Old Friends...
Katie and Anna
Amer, Shazia and Ryan
Tesco friends...Sam, Jenny, Lewis, John (and families)
Nabila and Shmyla
And New Friends...(and many more besides just these photos)
Abi
Heather
Rob, Craig, Pete
Kenyan Beth
Laughter and fun...
Meaningful lessons and deep thoughts...
the two trees that are one at 315 Sharrow Lane
My day hike in the Peaks
Being at home...
visit my pictures website to see more...if you so desire...
perhaps at some point I'll have words to describe the journey...until then, I'll just say: God has done great things, and I have seen more deeply the transforming power of the Gospel at work in my life and all around me as my eyes have been opened and my perspective on so many things radically altered. Meaningful and significant, that's what this trip was, and the story's not finished yet!
