...woke up this morning with this song in my head (we sang it at Mars Hill yesterday)...powerful and poignant...it's far too easy to get all high-and-mighty, wrapped up in pride thinking I'm so good and holy...but recognizing (and being confronted by) my own sinfulness and seeing horrifying glimpses that I am "crooked deep down" (as Derek Webb sings). But, ah, GRACE! So humbling, breaks me down and shows me I am nothing without Him. And it's only His GRACE that changes me, and gives me such hope to trust that "He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it" (Phil 1). Thankful for salvation...and thankful for sanctification, the promise that I am being transformed daily into the Image of Christ.
