I smell mud
There was a spring in my step today, and hope arises from the cold frozen earth.MUD!
I smell mud and see it too, a sure sign that spring is here. I'm sure it'll probably snow again, but the sun is shining and birds are singing more loudly and joyfully, and my heart feels a bit lighter.
It's a thrilling thing, spring. New life and freshness, colour is (coming) back in the world with the crisp green buds and leaves ready to burst forth with new life, flowers anxious to crack the earth, people coming out of their hibernation-mode and walking the streets and being friendly again.
Ahhh...I am content with springs approach and arrival.
